ANNE MARIE GOLDĀ

Anne Marie Gold has over three decades of experiences in libraries, serving as a library director in three large public libraries in California. She assists libraries and local government with consulting services focused on developing and supporting high-performing libraries, delivering customer-centered services. She is a recognized expert on California public library governance and funding, and has extensive experience in the development of State legislation affecting libraries. Gold has assisted clients in a wide range of areas, including library organizational assessment and restructuring, strategic and long range planning, governance restructuring, needs assessment, facility planning, staff training and development, team building and meeting facilitation.

Prior to her consulting work, Ms. Gold served as the Library Director for the Sacramento Public Library, the County Librarian for the Contra Costa County Library and as the County Librarian for the Solano County Library. She also served as the Executive Director of the Stanford-California State Library Institute on 21st Century Librarianship, which provided library leadership development for an international clientele. She was honored as Librarian of the Year by the California Library Association and also served as President of the association. Gold holds an appointment as Adjunct Faculty for the Drexel University College of Library and Information Studies.
