Mary Egan assists local government agencies with both human resources and organizational effectiveness advisory work.
Mary’s specialty is assisting Governing Boards and government leaders with problem analysis and skillful resolution.
She has consulted with many high profile clients since starting her own human resources consulting firm in 2001. While with Shannon Associates (1996 – 2001) Mary managed executive level recruitments for virtually all high-level council and manager appointed executives, and complex human resources assessments for large and complex clients.
Ms. Egan has held key positions with both the City of San Jose – where she was the Employee Relations Officer and Chief Negotiator (1988 - 1993) and the City of Sacramento where she served in various capacities (1980 – 1988). Ms. Egan is a recognized expert in municipal government interest arbitration.
